The oil is obtained by cold pressing the macadamia nut, a plant that grows in tropical climates.

It appears to be a dry and slightly greasy oil, with a neutral smell.

It is characterized by high concentrations of monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid 60%, palmitoleic acid 20%). Precisely the presence of palmitoleic acid (naturally present in human sebum) makes it a sebum-like oil, particularly suitable for skin application.
Macadamia oil is a dry oil, with good penetrating ability.
