Organic Sage Hydrolate

Natural Sage Hydrolate has a fresh, balsamic scent, similar to the aroma of freshly picked leaves.

It is obtained by steam distillation from plants grown organically in Italy and harvested by hand.

It has mucolytic and expectorant, anti-infective and astringent properties.

It can be used as:

• Food flavoring,
• Cosmetic use, especially for acne-prone and oily skin
• Used orally in case of abdominal swelling
• For oral hygiene

Hydrolates, or aromatic waters, are obtained, along with essential oils, through steam distillation. They contain a small amount of essential oil along with water-soluble substances extracted from the plant during distillation; being much less concentrated than essential oils, they are safer to use.

They can be used as

Food flavorings: added to herbal teas or other drinks, to flavor sweet or savory dishes, taken orally diluted in water.

Cosmetics: facial sprays, skin toners, added to shampoos and creams.

Home fragrances: scenting rooms and fabrics.
