Organic Rose Geranium Essential Oil 5 ml

Rose Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) natural essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from organic plants grown on our farm in Sicily.

 

It has a fresh, sweet, floral scent and has a marked relaxing activity.

 

Usage Tips:

• Environmental diffusion:Pour 2-4 drops of essential oil into the aroma diffuser (electric or with candle) alone or in combination with other relaxing essential oils such as lavender. It has a relaxing action but at the same time acts as a mental stimulant.

• Food flavouring: add a few drops of essential oil to the cake mix to have a pleasant rose flavor and scent.

• Scented baths: add 2-3 drops of essential oil to the bath water for a relaxing and anti-stress action

• Body oils: adding a few drops of essential oil to a massage oil, in addition to having a relaxing action, also has a soothing effect

• Cutaneous use: on the skin (pure or diluted in vegetable oil) can help in case of insect bites.

• Insect repellent action: use a few drops of essential oil on the windowsill to repel mosquitoes.

Rose Geranium, also called Malvarosa in Italy, is an evergreen bush with leaves that are rough to the touch, very fragrant and small pink flowers.

The essential oil is obtained by distillation of the entire plant during the flowering period and has an intense floral scent reminiscent of rose and lemongrass.

Geranium essential oil is used in the perfumery, food and cosmetics sectors.

 

FOOD USE:

 The essential oil can be used as a food flavouring, it is particularly suitable for sweet dishes: a few drops added to biscuit or cake dough gives a good rose flavour.

 

USES IN AROMATHERAPY:

 Antioxidant, hemostatic, relaxing, anti-inflammatory, healing and insect repellent action.

 -The essential oil of geranium has a weakly actionsedative, promotes relaxation and at the same time acts as a stimulant mental. It can be effectively  used in environmental diffusion alone or together with other essential oils such as lavender. It has a very intense scent that persists in environments and fabrics.

 -It can be used to ward off mosquitoes during the summer period: for this purpose, 3-5 drops of essential oil can be poured near the door of the house or in front of the windows.

-It can be a valid aid for decontaminating home environments thanks to its insecticidal and larvicidal action.

 -In the cosmetic field it is used for the preparation of products for mature or dry skin.
