  • Estragon essential oil, also known as tarragon, is obtained by steam distillation of leaves and flowers.

    Its scent is reminiscent of fennel, anise and liquorice, it is very fresh and pleasant. 

    Usage Tips:

    • Environmental spread:Pour 4-6 drops of essential oil into the aroma diffuser (electric or with candle) alone or in combination with other essential oils. It has calming and relaxing properties and is also an excellent insect repellent. ;
    • Food flavouring: add 1-2 drops of essential oil to vegetable oil, it is particularly suitable for flavoring vegetables, sauces and legumes.
    • Internal use: Tarragon essential oil, appropriately diluted in a vegetable oil or honey, is indicated in case of digestive disorders, muscle spasms and hiccups.

    The use of tarragon essential oil is reserved for adults. It is not recommended to use it internally for periods longer than 4 days and to take more than 2-3 drops per day orally. Do not use pure on the skin.

  • Estragon or Tarragon essential oil is produced by distillation of the leaves of Artemisia dracunculus, a plant belonging to the Asteraceae family.

    There are two different varieties of tarragon, Russian and French tarragon. Our essential oil is obtained from plants of the French variety which is characterized by a  more pleasant and fresh scent.

    Curiosity: The name tarragon, by which it is often referred to, derives from "little dragon" due to the shape of the plant.

    USES IN AROMATHERAPY:

    - Tarragon has an important action to calm the brainspasms digestive and is extremely effective in case ofhiccup, for the latter problem it can be taken by diluting a drop of essential oil in a teaspoon of honey.

    - It is often used in case of allergies as it seems to have an influence on inhibiting the release of histamine (one of the molecules mediating inflammatory processes). For this purpose, dry inhalation is recommended, add 2-3 drops of essential oil to a handkerchief and breathe. 

    - The essential oil of tarragon in environmental diffusion has an insect repellent action and helps to combat stress and anxiety.
