Chinotto essential oil has a scent reminiscent of bitter orange, but is spicier and more complex. It is obtained by cold pressing the peels of the ripe fruit, from plants grown in Sicily using organic methods.
Usage Tips:
- Environmental spread: Pour 2-4 drops of essential oil into the aroma diffuser (electric or with candle) alone or in combination with other essential oils such as lavender, myrtle, bergamot.
- Inhalation: pour 1-2 drops of essential oil on a handkerchief and breathe, useful in case of stress.
- Food flavouring:Add a few drops of essential oil to sweet and savory dishes or cocktails to give a strong aroma and flavor of chinotto.
- It can be added to shampoo to have shinier hair and reduce dandruff. Pour 3-4 drops of essential oil into a dollop of shampoo, gently massage the scalp and rinse.
