Organic rose geranium hydrosol

The natural geranium hydrosol has a sweet and floral scent with hints of rose and lemongrass.

It is obtained by steam distillation from plants grown in Italy using organic methods and manual harvesting.

It has insect repellent, anti-inflammatory, calming and relaxing properties.

Recommendations for use

• Food use: to flavor desserts, fruit salads, creams or to add to herbal teas
• Cosmetic use: Excellent as a tonic for oily or mature skin, to calm skin inflammation (in case of irritation, insect bites, psoriasis) and for its mosquito repellent action.
• Environmental diffusion: to be added to the diffuser tray or to perfume fabrics and home environments, it has a calming action, fights stress and anxiety.

Hydrolates, or aromatic waters, are obtained, together with essential oils, by steam distillation. They contain a small quantity of essential oil together with the water-soluble substances extracted from the plant during distillation; being much less concentrated than essential oils, they are safer to use.

They can be used as

Food flavourings: added to herbal teas or other drinks, to flavor sweet or savory dishes, taken orally diluted in water.

Cosmetics: facial sprays, skin tonics, added to shampoos and creams.

Home fragrances: fragrance for environments and fabrics.
