Organic Clary Sage hydrosol
Natural clary sage hydrosol has a fresh and floral scent, with notes of tobacco and pepper on the finish.
It is obtained by steam distillation from plants grown in Italy using organic methods and manual harvesting.
It has anti-inflammatory, calming, relaxing and astringent properties; useful in case of skin inflammation and for oral hygiene.
Hydrosols, or aromatic waters, are obtained, together with essential oils, by steam distillation. They contain a small amount of essential oil together with the water-soluble substances extracted from the plant during distillation; being much less concentrated than essential oils, they are safer to use.
They can be used as
Food flavourings: added to herbal teas or other drinks, to flavor sweet or savory dishes, taken orally diluted in water.
Cosmetics: facial sprays, skin tonics, added to shampoos and creams.
Home fragrances: fragrance of environments and fabrics.
